Great little lunch cafe! One of my favorite menu items is the Wildwood Grilled chicken salad with a glass of their delicious fruited tea! The Quiche is good too! I’ve never had an unpleasant experience or meal. Delightful attentive owners.

When I first bit into the piping hot English ham and cheese sandwich at Through the Grapevine, I expected a simple, comforting bite. Instead, I embarked on an epic journey of flavors and textures that left me wondering if I'd just consumed a meal or perhaps experienced a culinary love story. I’m afraid an affair with this sandwich has just begun, and curiously I’ve never felt more alive.
First, I’ll praise the bread, the vessel in which the sandwich was delivered was as precious as a newborn panda bear. An English muffin more specifically was toasted to perfection, it had the ideal balance of crunch and chew, like a well-prepared speech that starts with a bang and ends with a round of applause. It held the sandwich together with a firm yet gentle embrace, not unlike a bear hug from your best friend.
The ham was a revelation. Thinly sliced and generously layered, it was like the lead actor in a blockbuster film—charismatic and impossible to ignore. The smokiness of the ham played a harmonious duet with the melted cheese, creating a symphony of flavors that danced on my palate like Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers, but better if that’s even possible.
And oh, the cheese. It wasn't just cheese; it was a gooey masterpiece of dairy delight. Melted to the perfect consistency, it wrapped around the ham like a warm, velvety blanket on a cold winter's night. It stretched with every bite, a playful reminder that sometimes, the best things in life are a little messy.
The sandwich came with a side of pasta salad that may have altered the trajectory of my life, but only time will tell. A tart and tangy counterpart that balanced the richness of the main event. This pasta salad wasn’t just an afterthought; it was the zesty comic relief in this delicious drama, cutting through any heaviness with it’s sharp wit and delightful charm.
In conclusion, the hot ham and cheese sandwich at Through the Grapevine is more than just a meal—it's a culinary experience that will make you laugh, cry, and possibly propose marriage to your plate. Whether you're looking for comfort food or a delightful adventure, this sandwich is a must-try. Just be prepared to fall in love at first bite.
Cheers,
Andrew

This is an adorable little place that I didn't know existed. I accompanied my mother to her garden club luncheon at Through the Grapevine and enjoyed it very much. Food was good, prices were decent and the service was great!
